A glimmer of hope for Senior Citizens
Aug. 17th, 2008 07:58 amIn amongst all the Phelps-hype, I am pleased with the "sports" coverage of Dara Torres, refugee from the Old Folks Home. On the far side of forty years of age, she missed a gold medal by .01 second. Quoth she, "Maybe I shouldn't have filed my nails last night." Or something along those lines. And then she went straight from the medal ceremony to swimming a relay, for another silver medal.
Guess I'll hold up my end of the bargain by going out for a bike ride.
