Foggy

Proof that the everlasting damp everlasts.  We have received assurance that the Glorious Fourth will offer better weather, IE the fireworks won't explode inside low-hanging clouds.  We've done that one before.

Report from Younger Son that he and Significant Other have reached California safely and are covered in cat hair.  I believe that the travel process included conducting a job interview by cell phone from the Boston airport.  This strikes me as less than optimal.  Apparently the post-doctoral world is not living up to his strict expectations.

Having deposited a retainer check, I guess I have to start work on another downtown renovation . . .

3-D Tetris

We have been sorting that Forester-load of Younger Son Stuff into like-kind places and stacks, fitting it into our life again.  Things that don't mind heat and cold can go out on the sunporch, computer things go into more hospitable locales, etc.  And here we were trying to empty out this white elephant space, with an eye to selling it and downsizing.

But a couple of items will not fit into any coherent scheme.  There's one sub-box that's 1/4" too large to match up with anything, in any uber-box.

I'm contemplating the chainsaw.  There's this old proverb about the nail that stands up...
