Gray again.  Light rain earlier, but dry roof and pavement now.  Supposed to even clear off later.

More rain forecast for the weekend.

Word yesterday that another downtown renovation project will proceed, in the face of prevailing economic gloom.  "The check is in the mail."  Checks, even hypothetical checks, are good.

No mention in last night's news or in today's fishwrapper to explain all those sirens yesterday.  Just another day at the ER, I guess, with coincidence bringing several emergencies together.

Okay, while bicycling yesterday I noted the dust clouds* roused by every passing vehicle.  My brain, such as it is, started in with "Silicosis** here I come..." to the tune of "California here I come..." but can't move it beyond.  Have at it?

*Residue of winter road-sand and general crud, once it dries out.  Particulate pollution, boys and girls.  It's what's for dinner.

**As Wife has been known to point out, exercise is supposed to be good for you.  I sometimes wonder about bicycling, what with the random asshole drivers and exhaust gas and all.
