Sunshine?  We could get used to this.

Assorted Emergency Management Agencies are probably breathing sighs of relief at the recent weather.  Sunshine, temperatures up into the 50s F during the day but dropping below freezing at night.  Snow melting back at a controlled pace, rather than in a rush with rain.  We have been keeping an eye on rivers and streams...

(Or maybe roadkill report, depending on all those sirens following me home...)

Celebrated the further advance of spring (and subsidence of frost heaves) with another conditioning ride on the mountain bike.  Maybe I'll dare get the road bike out on that mess in a couple of weeks.  Headed out past the cemetery and a bit upriver, thence back through the cemetery and prospecting for ducks (none seen), past the hospital, and home.

At least one ambulance into the emergency entrance at the medical center, with two more sirens in hearing range.  Plus, once I thought about it, the Life Flight helicopter headed out earlier during my ride.  I deduce something messy out on the interstate.  News at five.

6 miles approx., 35 minutes.

I can now affirm that the last snow on our sideyard has melted.  This does not include the far side of the driveway, of course, where the southerly house shades everything into moss.  Due to snowblower heaps, that still possesses about  a foot of icy mess...

And I could reach the compost bin out back if I was willing to squish a bit.

Two ducks in the skating rink.
