...chasing the clouds away.

But not particularly warm, for all of that.  Today's forecast highs just below freezing. Tomorrow, temperature falling all day, with lows subzero F overnight.

Supposed to be similar down in Massachusetts.   Hope that California team brought their long johns for the game.

Now I think I'll go out and try to find a replacement LCR12V7.2P1 gel-cell battery, part of a Tripp-Lite UPS.  Not a "user-serviceable part", one reason why all future purchases of similar battery back-up equipment will be from APC, but as an FCC-certified radio operator and electronics technician, I do not fear applying screwdriver to case...

May have to order on-line.

The return of the UPS

Well, the battery specialty store had an appropriate number right on the shelf.  We now have three functioning backup power systems, for two normally-used computers (the laptop doesn't count, having its own built-in rescue).  Maybe the nature center needs a donation?

But this absolves me from dumping hazardous waste into the disposal system.
