Apropos of the Pirate Book Scandal, I should mention that I, yes even I, had asked SFWA to keep an eye out for my interests in this matter.  As I said, I have lower internet skills than our neighbor's dumb fat cat.  Therefore I am at least distantly responsible for the Great DMCA FUBAR.

Tuesday roadkill report

Nowt but one flat garter snake about a mile from home on the morning ride.  I guess this is a backcharge for the excess biomass on the Sunday roadside?

Windy this morning, temperature about 60 F when I went out, but damned if I was going to let that stop me from a bike ride.  Also blue sky and daisies and asters.  The town crew still hasn't paved that section of Chase Road that cost me a front inner tube, but I think I avoided a repeat engagement.  I checked for tougher tubes at the bike shop, but they don't stock the "thorn-resistant" tubes in road bike sizes.  Mountain bike sizes only...
