Apropos of the Pirate Book Scandal, I should mention that I, yes even I, had asked SFWA to keep an eye out for my interests in this matter.  As I said, I have lower internet skills than our neighbor's dumb fat cat.  Therefore I am at least distantly responsible for the Great DMCA FUBAR.

As in "have enough sense to check any list of possible takedown-notice candidates for the names of known copyright-and-etext polemicists who happen to be in possession of a bully pulpit"? Yeah, you'd think that much diligence, at least, would be considered due . . . but apparently not.
