The family unit has been dumped at the airport -- ComAir seems to think they will have a plane. It was listed on the website as "At Gate" but the departure time is delayed more than an hour. Dunno what that means.

Nice grouping of Mercury and Venus in the sky at first light. I didn't search around for Mars, which should have been up there somewhere -- I was driving on snowy roads, not stargazing time.

Temperatures around 0 F this morning, but the wind had died back a bit. And the car started right off. Nice Subaru. Good car. Here's a biscuit. (Or anyway, a dose of Dry Gas.)

No longer our problem

Well, that indispensable resource, the internet, says that the plane left and arrived at its intended destination. We have not received any phone calls from family unit requesting retrieval from the airport. Logical assumption, family unit was on plane. Therefore, whatever happens from now is Someone Else's Problem.

Warmer today, and less wind. We got a walk in, around the neighborhood. The same slackers who left garbage to be scattered by the storm also do not shovel (or plow or snow-blow) their sections of sidewalk. Civic virtue, not to mention personal responsibility, seems to be vanishing from the species.
