Question for Michiganders (or Michigeese....)

Why is the "C" concourse at Detroit Metro airport such an abomination under the sun?

No toilets in the gate area, no seating in the gate area, a narrow corridor with two moving sidewalks down the center that make it even narrower -- maybe eight or ten feet of corridor to each side in which regional jet passengers (seventy, eighty, whatever per plane) line up and wait for a plane?

Do we blame incompetent architects, or is this an artifact of politics?

Airports suck.

Back in the saddle again

One day at home, in between rushing hither and thither with great squawks and a flurry of feathers. Got in a bike ride, but the humidity must be close to 100% -- gray and damp all day, made me all that much damper. I have to grab every chance to remind my legs why they exist. I'm at the age where if I give my body a coffee break, I have to retrain it.
