400 miles and one tornado later

Well, Younger Son has been delivered back to grad school, there to torment undergrad psych students by forcing them through experiments.

Oh, that tornado in the title? One sighted near the turnpike as I was driving up it on the way home. Also raining cats, dogs, frogs, and locusts, with occasional exclamation points of lightning directly over the road ahead, on the day we chose in order to avoid tomorrow's forecast rain....

I think I'll just ooze over into that quiet corner with a nice bottle of vodka now.
