Okay, what is a "Christian Cafe"?

I mean, I understand Kosher and Halal and even Seventh-Day Adventist vegetarian as a restaurant basis, but I'm not aware of any generic Christian dietary restrictions.  Except no-booze for some and "long pig", for most . . .

(Probably just means "Jesus Rock" on the sound system.)

England is still large Christian - culturally Christian, definitely, and the rural areas of West Oxfordshire don't have a large Jeweish/Muslim/Sikh/whatever population, so I did not *expect* to find 'a Christian business.' Particularly as 'Christian' around here mainly means Anglican, not Southern Baptist.

The irony is that I felt there was a goodly dose of dishonesty about the business...

If someone advertises their moral values, I expect them to have a higher than average standard.

I'm afraid that when the pastor of a hard-shell Baptist church sent me a hefty tax-deduction receipt for donation of services, I had similar feelings. I'd billed him for all the architectural work . . .

(Don't know your British tax laws, but charitable contributions are tax-deductible in the USA. Including donations in kind, like professional services.)
