jhetleyWell, Michigan lost the Rose Bowl by one point, a field goal with time expired. You could, with equal accuracy, say that Texas won by the same margin. Glass half full, or half empty? Our connection with Michigan has enough dust on it to count as archaeological strata....

But taken with that particular grain of salt, it was a glorious game, played with such intensity by both teams that it did come down to the final seconds, and there is a marvelous poetry about it.
