Survived moose alley, both ways. Sold two books, for 140 miles round-trip . . .
That's the price of living back in the puckerbrush.
(Maybe a couple more pre-sold -- the Nice Bookstore Lady said she ordered 15 copies of DRAGON'S TEETH, but they only put 12 out on my table.)

Date: 2008-09-11 12:23 pm (UTC)Had a nice chat with Noreen and Karen. Was amused at some strange organization on the part of the bookstore, which sat me next to a local* minister pushing his book on maintaining relationships . . . nice guy, but not a marketing plus.
Brought two cups of yogurt in a cooler, but forgot to add a spoon to the baggage. Sort of typifies the whole experience, yes?
*Which meant that he had a cloud of friends and family chattering around all evening, and sold probably 8 books to my 2.
