Item on NPR "Morning Edition" today, interviews with a couple of Hillary delegates.  One of them is giving serious thought to voting McCain.  Says she's never voted Republican before . . .

(A "spite fence" is a Maine term, a fence or hedge put up for the sole purpose of spoiling your neighbor's "view" even if it damages your own.  We can reach Afghan levels in our multi-generational feuds.)

One thing for you to consider -- Wife pointed out this morning that the Democrats seem to ignore the large number of people, even in their own ranks, who will not vote for a black man for president. Period. Not even a rich yuppie black man. These people will never say so, even on a poll, but once they get into the voting booth . . .

Obama has a thicker glass ceiling to penetrate than Hillary did. Dismissing this talk as "NPR has been corrupted" ignores the fact that US voters are used to old white guys in the White House.

Me, I didn't like any of the choices offered. Obama, Clinton, Edwards, McCain, Romney, Huckabee, et al.

THANK YOU.

I felt the exact same way. still do, actually.

I voted for Mike Gravel in the Iowa caucus because I was long since disgusted by the whole mess... but I still wanted to make my voice heard in the caucus/primary thing.

So...
