For those who track such _rara avis_, John was alive and well when I dropped him off on the Colby College campus this afternoon. Excellent chat over sandwiches, in which we discovered a geographical congruence at a small lake in Michigan. Also left some books in his custody.

He didn't bring That Cat. Some difficulty with airport security, I believe, a problem with carrying lethal weapons on all four paws.

Nice to know you two have met at last. As for That Cat, I last saw him out at the farm at Musquodoboit Harbour where he struggled out of John's arms and jumped into Skye's.

In other news, we just got back from the Anne Arundel County public library with The Summer Country in hand.
