Temperature reports of 30F from northern Maine this morning. No frost here, yet, but the moving finger writes....

Or colour for the Canadian delegation....
The swamp maples are turning red, and some of the upland trees are starting to show a bit of change. Peak leaf-peeper season won't come for maybe a month, plus/minus depending on which species you really pine for.

I was really surprised when I was in Connecticut to see sugar maples already going orange at the edges in late August. Dry summer?
