The March of time

Air temperature 28 F, wind northwest gusting to 38 mph, clear sky. Moon setting just above downhill neighbor's house when I got up. Snow retreating, day by day.

Maybe a portent

Hydrangeas are poking up leaves next to the foundation, and maybe a flower stalk. Tulips also have a few tentative leaf-tips. This is a south wall and the snow never packed in tight there this winter. Life?
