Crystal ball gazing

Air temperature 68 F, wind near calm, cloudy. Weather radar thinks there is rain overhead, but we're not seeing it yet. Flood watches in western Maine and over to Vermont. More tonight into tomorrow. Do we forage this morning, or wait?

Weather avoided

Just a light sprinkle during our foraging this morning, and I got a walk in with a few patches of mist. Came back damp nonetheless, but that was internally generated.

Messy business

People are making a lot of noise about unexploded ordinance. War isn't just ugly, it is messy. You may not realize that France is still cleaning up unexploded shells, some of them poison gas, from WWI. And I can recall construction crews encountering unexploded shells from the US Civil War.
