Air temperature 37 F, wind near calm, mostly cloudy. We're headed into showers and rain for the next week, approximately. Probably no bike rides, few walks . . .
When leaves dropped last fall, we discovered we had had a goldfinch nest in the forsythia bush out back. Never suspected it. That nest has now vanished. Blown away? Dismantled for spare parts? Collected by an amateur naturalist?
