Air temperature 42 F, wind east about 11 mph, raining. Rain and showers supposed to last all day, with wind picking up later into tonight to the point of power outages. We may see the sun again next weekend.
Did get a walk in without drenching. Louie was out, loafed up beside his foundation and not inclined to change that. I did get a couple of blinks of recognition. Also got a looking-over by a mockingbird perched on a fence. I suspect sentry-duty for a nest territory.
Was looking out back at the bird feeders, expecting goldfinches and song sparrows and chickadees. Scale all wrong -- pair of mallards under the feeders. We're not forecast to get *that* much rain . . .
