Thursday floral report
Jun. 16th, 2022 11:36 amButter-and-eggs starting to bloom, more raspberries/blackberries, and I saw the first flower heads on a milkweed plant. The stems and leaves have been up for a while, waiting for the monarchs to arrive.
Dead duck by the roadside, I think mallard hen but it had been there a while. Hope her brood has joined up with another -- they will, since the parent birds don't have to feed those extra beaks.
Got out on the bike, across town and by the airport. RAF transport parked, looked like an Atlas. Maybe a back-haul of baby formula?
