Hateful internet

Air temperature 59 F, wind south about 5 mph, scattered thin clouds. Winds supposed to pick up later, gusting over 30 mph, so will try to get out on the bike early. I'll leave fanning the flames to others.

We've been living with cheap money for so long, having to pay interest to borrow capital frightens the markets. I'm old enough to remember when you would get 3% to 4% interest on savings deposits. With a stable economy.

Thursday floral report

Butter-and-eggs starting to bloom, more raspberries/blackberries, and I saw the first flower heads on a milkweed plant. The stems and leaves have been up for a while, waiting for the monarchs to arrive.

Dead duck by the roadside, I think mallard hen but it had been there a while. Hope her brood has joined up with another -- they will, since the parent birds don't have to feed those extra beaks.

Got out on the bike, across town and by the airport. RAF transport parked, looked like an Atlas. Maybe a back-haul of baby formula?
