Above freezing now, heavy frost on the cars and roofs and such now melting.  We're supposed to get some rain later.  Not heavy enough to give the place the serious wash it needs.  Late winter and early spring get ugly around here.

Perennial gripe

I keep bouncing off a book in the current-reading pile (library, thank whatever, so I'm not out any money . . .) because Author gets characters into trouble by having them act stupid.

I mean, internationally-recognized Stupid on the order of sitting with their backs to a door in a known dangerous situation.  Literally.
