Redpolls *still* still not gone

About fifteen common* redpolls this morning.  We don't know, of course, if these are the same redpolls all the time -- we could be getting new ones as others move on.  If they are heading north, they'll usually wait for a night with a bit of south wind for a boost.

*Now we know why they are "common" . . .

Things in the sky

Just back in from waving at the Shuttle/ISS glowing their way across the stars.  Just one spot.  I hadn't heard that the shuttle had docked yet, but probably just too close to resolve at the distance.

Bad cases make bad law

Hey, the AIG situation sucks, to put it mildly.  But somebody really, really needs to whap a congresscritter or two with the concept of "ex post facto" before they start loudmouthing retroactive taxes . . .
