We expect, depending on which weather-prophet you follow and where they place our fair village in the ever-changing geography of Maine, somewhere between 3" of mixed precip and 12" of snow.  This to occur between now and tomorrow, over an indefinite micro-schedule.

This weather Schrodinger's Cat brought to you by the proximity of ocean and a large Canadian ice-box.

In addition to the snowflakes, none of which are "special", we have a sideyard full of finches.  No siskins noted, but they're about the same size and coloration, so you have to check every bird.  And the targets keep moving.

Speaking of "targets", I always get a chuckle out of seeing the whole flock alarm at something, You have this flurry of wings and bodies, usually with one puzzled bird still perched on a feeder and peering around, visual language "Huh?"

Or, as Wife puts it, "What haw-awk!"

Addendum:  Latest swarm is siskins and house finches.

More on the noon news about that coffee shop.  Various and sundry, worried about children and moral values and such.

Uh, folks?  This is a planning board meeting.  They don't have legal power over public decency.  If the property is zoned for any kind of coffee shop, the dress code doesn't enter into the equation . . .
