More on the noon news about that coffee shop.  Various and sundry, worried about children and moral values and such.

Uh, folks?  This is a planning board meeting.  They don't have legal power over public decency.  If the property is zoned for any kind of coffee shop, the dress code doesn't enter into the equation . . .

What about other employee health risks? Making and serving coffee topless would be a lot like cooking naked -- nothing says you can't, but it's generally known to be Not A Good Idea due to the risk of splatter injury. That's the tack I would take if I wanted to fight it.

Might be an OSHA question, or something for the Health Inspector, but nothing to do with a planning board . . .

Me, I just shrug. Isn't my town, and I wouldn't give the proverbial flying fuck if it was.
