Irritations on the internet
Jul. 19th, 2008 09:35 amI was trying to figure out why the "intellicast" weather radar didn't agree with what I saw out the window. Then noted that the frame was from 0600 GMT. Which, -4 hours, means 0200 EDT, or more than 7 hours out of date. While weather.com and accuweather.com are up-to-time...0930 EDT for both.
Grrr. Intellicast isn't frozen, it updates but is keeping a long lag. Are they trying to get us to pay for the service?

Well, intellicast.com now has their act semi-together, with a radar map updated 0115 GMT, or about 14 minutes ago.
And if you are wondering why I am obsessing over the weather radar today, we have had some weather for it to display. As in, actual tornado warnings up north and severe thunderstorms warnings and watches elsewhere. None of it came near us, but . . .
Note to Sharon and Steve -- a cell passed just north of the Waterville-Albion area, not through it.
