...that is the question.

As [personal profile] txtriffidranch  pointed out, if I am stuck with the human-power reel lawnmower, I need to switch to a shorter rotation.  And, given the years which have somehow accumulated since I got lazy and substituted gas for sweat, I probably should do the lawn in bites rather than one vast massacre.

So, should I count on getting the power mower back before jungle reclaims our lot, or should I start the revised schedule?

And, it's July out there.  Don't wanna.

Have mowed front and side yards.  For those who have actually seen our front and side yards, this does not rank high on mankind's accomplishments.  But.

Maybe Friday for the back yard.

. . . The good is pretty damned hard to find.

Those of you (both male and female sorts) still in your fertile years may be . . . interested . . . in the latest move by Fearless Leader and his henchmen.

I am old enough to remember when any form of birth control other than abstinence was illegal in some states, even for married couples.  God forbid (in the literal sense) that such sinful materials be available to unmarried  . . .

And, since I'm playing politics today, via [personal profile] unixronin:

According to the ACLU, the gummint now has over a million names on the terrorist watch list.  Contemplate that, for a moment.  Of course, they (and we) have no way to verify that count, as the list itself is secret.

Guess it's time for the nuclear option.  That many enemies, it's the cheapest way.

Being a functional monoglot, I just assume that "Editions Mnémos (24 avril 2008)" means that this book is actually available in print.

http://www.amazon.fr/seigneur-lhiver-James-Hetley/dp/2354080336/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216233709&sr=8-2

Which I find of at least nominal interest, as I haven't been paid the publication advance for it...

And shall we have another chorus of "There's a Bimbo on the cover of the book"?  Guns, specifically .45 Colt M1911 and variants, don't work in the Summer Country...

Likewise for:

http://www.amazon.fr/Royaume-l%C3%A9t%C3%A9-James-Hetley/dp/2070346943/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1216234289&sr=1-2

Who is that broad???  Gray would be Fiona, but she'd never be caught dead in that costume.

Apropos of the bimbo on the cover of the book...

Wife came up with this added verse, which probably needs polish before going live:

(TTO "She'll be coming 'round the mountain when she comes")

"There's a stranger on the cover of my book.
"There's a stranger on the cover of my book.
"I don't know who she is,
"It's strange, this writing biz.
"But there's a stranger on the cover of my book."
