Picked our first batch of Maine low-bush blueberries from the side yard yesterday evening.  This is an ornamental planting, just a few square feet of bushes, but they almost glow blue this year.  Judging by that, the commercial harvest looks good.

One mangled muskrat, on the road shoulder out in the bog.  Tuesday's raccoon has vanished, proving again the efficiency of our cleanup squad.

Warm (about 80 F) and rising humidity.  Headed out on the bike before conditions got worse.  Brown-eyed Susans brightening the roadsides and fields, along with all the usual suspects.

15.30 miles, 1:07:50

(Which is less than half the speed that the Tour de France riders would make over the same route, but I never claimed to be a cyborg.  Doping, hell -- I want them X-rayed.)
