How to warm an (obscure) author's heart

Got a short email this morning from someone who had just finished reading WINTER OAK and enjoyed it.  Given that WO is several years out of print, that is good.  Keep those books out there working!

Virtue (un)rewarded

Okay, it being a beautiful day in the neighborhood, I decided to walk down to the library.  Save gas, dump that book that was aggravating me, get some others less obnoxious.  I'm old enough, I don't have to finish books.  There will not be a test.

And the library is closed.  Switched to "summer hours" this week, daytime only, and only weekdays.  Whatever stupid kind of library closes when people have extra free time?

(Yeah, they've been doing it forever.  Doesn't mean I have to like it.)

Dumped book in "night deposit" slot and walked back.  At least it was a beautiful day.
