...That is the question.  Whether 'tis nobler, etc, etc, etc.

Rain showing on the weather radar about 30 miles west of us.  Advancing at a rate that would have it here in a couple of hours.  My intended Sunday ride would last over three hours...

I think it may be time to think globally and act locally.  Loop out of town and back, then across town and back, all within relatively short retreat.

Woodchuck, gray squirrel, painted turtle, possible mink -- the fur looked too good for woodchuck, and the tattered remains too svelte.

Biked across to the airport, observing two not-roadkill woodchucks grazing there, thence out to the lake and up to the university.  Gray gathering on the horizon, so I headed toward it and home.  For all the green over us on the radar map, it has not yet started to rain here.  Appears that I could have followed my original, more vigorous, plan and remained dry.  Thus do the weather gods mock us.

For any local bikers reading this -- avoid Forest Avenue between Essex and Stillwater.  It sucks.  It sucks worse than last year, and that was bad.
