Sundering the fellowship

Well, we ship Younger Son off to California today.  Not to the same location as Elder Son, and not a permanent removal.

I guess he wants to start into his last year of grad school thoroughly jet-lagged.

Another oddity of the suburban deer

This particular set doesn't seem to have learned the crepuscular thing.  Yes, we saw them in the gathering gloom of evening, but now buck* and fawn are in the backyard at 11:25 AM.

*Asymmetrical 6-point antlers, 4 and 6.  Not a good trophy head.
