It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a screwed-up computer system...

Wife and I remembered to wander outside at 9:00 PM last night, scanning above the gloaming for a bright movement in the gathering darkness.  Or two.  Space shuttle and space station, separated in their stately progress from northwest to southeast.  Leading gleam was the brighter.

No sighting of shuttle and space station.  Occasional bright spots in the cover betraying the crescent moon, but only moving lights spotted were lightning bugs.  Which, as Samuel L. Clemens pointed out, are less than optimal.
