Lazy Fourth
Jul. 4th, 2005 10:57 amSkipping the parade, skipping the cook-outs, probably skipping the fireworks tonight even though a half-mile walk would take me to good viewing. And no, we haven't hung out the flag. Probably "They" will be knocking on our door momentarily. I'll send you a (censored) letter from Gitmo.
Did get a few hundred words in on PENDRAGON AUTUMN this morning, with further lined up. "Beginnings are such delicate times." I'm still fine-tuning chapter one, just re-introduced Fiona prowling her wildwood cage and muttering dark threats on all and sundry. I'm glad I saved her for further use. As I've said before, good villains are hard to find. Still, there's this dragon who would _love_ to vary his diet with a morsel or two of Old One.
And I'll remind readers again that they shouldn't attribute a character's attitudes to the author. Brian says bad things about T. H. White and Malory and the rest of the prettified anachronistic Arthurian stuff, but he doesn't speak for me....
