The land of steaming storm drains

No wind, temperatures -10 or -15F, we get vapor plumes rising from the catch basins in the streets. I've seen nearly 4" of frost built up on some of them, linear, like feathers or fur.

Supposed to get snow tonight, maybe 3" or 4" here, 6" to 10" in the easternmost parts of the state. More skiing?
