We seem to have moved overnight. I looked outside and saw about 12" of snow, whereas the forecast had predicted 3"-6" for our area. I hope the slippage into extreme Downeast Maine to catch up with this ocean storm hasn't triggered any tsunami threats to such places as the mythical land of Nova Scotia....

Heading downwind at a rapid rate. We cleared the back steps, the driveway, the front walk and steps. The city filled the end of the driveway back in, and I cleared it again. I shoveled off the low roof areas. And the wind has been concentrating on drifting all of the above right back in again. Temperatures are headed for the basement for the next few days. I drove out to the City Forest trails in an attempt to avoid the rush, but the parking lot was damn near full. Lot of fools around.

4 miles, 1 1/4 hours (Cold fresh snow is slower.)
