Coo, coo, coo coo-blam!
Apr. 9th, 2005 08:37 amMourning doves represent Ultimate Evil. Particularly when one appears to have perched next to a streetlight, thereby convincing its BB-sized brain that dawn is glowing dew-pearled on the horizon and starting the serenade at 2 AM. I reminded Wife that we possess a decent air-rifle and ammo....
I believe that today will remove the last of the winter's snow from our yard. We have actual blooming crocuses of our very own.
Wife just departed for work, muttering imprecations on the heads of various volunteers that are staffing the Nature Center booth at a local garden and flower show. They didn't fill out credit card slips properly for purchases made at said booth, lacking necessary data which will cause Wife considerable trauma when she tries to enter the slips into the system. Sometimes free help is worth less than you pay it....

Date: 2005-04-09 06:26 am (UTC)And just WHY do doves have to fly so friggin' LOUD! I have three or four who perch in the tree next to my front porch (and who also determine the precise placement of my pickup in my driveway--amazing amount of dove poop on the windshield if I park three feet further in). I come out of my front door and it sounds like a flock of petrodactyl have come to life.
