Completed Phase 3 snow relocation, which involves the lower level roof surfaces, as well as the oil filler pipe access and the plow residue left by the city on our nice clean driveway . . .

Got out to the city forest, where snow is welcome.  Only skied a mile because of that first-run-of-the-year factor.  Excellent surface, which will probably be ruined by rain tomorrow.

Yes, rain.  That's the forecast.  Dammit.

Which is why I needed to get those roofs shoveled off -- snow soaks up rain like a sponge, adding much weight.  With drifts to 3' deep and a house over 150 years old . . .

Glad you liked it! Now, go out and get everyone you know to buy multiple copies!

I've tried! They never seem to buy more than one copy of anything I suggest... strange, huh? =)

If books sell lots of copies, then the author gets a chance to write more of them . . .

(Usually true, but not always. Publishing is a strange and wondrous world.)

But thank you!

Just remember when you're up there on those roofs, monsieur Hetley, that a fall FROM them can be just as nasty as when they fall ON you... the Wicked Witch of the East notwithstanding...

Well, snowdrifts cushion the impact.
