Air temperature 6F, windchill -10F. So I went for a walk, of course. No cats visible.
Maybe I should stop these evening walks, though, for the public good. Last night, I came around the corner of our block and encountered flashing blue lights. Cop in charge of an accident scene, looked like rear-ender, and hard enough that air bags deployed. Then tonight, it was flashing red lights in the block of Palm Street on beyond us. Probably medical 911, since they send a fire truck out on those as well as the ambulance.
I am a bird of ill omen.
