Okay, we have 56 F now.  Which isn't the source of twitching.  The noon weather guy pronounced the words "ice storm" in connection with tomorrow night.  Which does fit this pattern, but . . .

No matter what your eyes may tell you, "ice storm" is a four-letter word in Maine lingo.  One of our previous experiences left us without power for a week.  This, right in the heart of our Major Metropolis.  We have a wood-fired stove in the parlor and kerosene lamps on call, for good reason.

'ice storm' is a four letter word no matter where you live. Not so many years ago folks in Watertown, NY, were without power for the better part of a month because of such a thing.

Good luck. I hope it misses you - and everyone else - completely.

I think I speak for all of us in saying, "May the ice be little and transient."

I think you coastal folks may just get straight rain.

Yes, the world as un-electrified skating rink is so very NOT GOOD. We got a minor glaze here in Lansing last night. The rain snow line kept moving back and forth over us and of course made ice but luckily changed to snow and then went towards you. Good luck.
