Just went out into the night with malice aforethought and shook the spruce tree.  The whatsit exploded out again, with a clatter of wings.  And with the added distinctive whistle of a mourning dove's wings, which I did not hear last night.

Actually, I think there were two of them.

Also, now we have a clear sky and cold stars.  After moon and planets have set.

I have manufactured UFO sightings before.

(I'm pretty sure the Statute of Limitations has run out on that . . .)

We had the same thing out here. I could see planets or moon through the cloud cover in Dallas, but not both, and now there's not a cloud in the sky.
