Have heard (from a usually reliable source) that the voting line this morning consisted of walking in, giving your name, and picking a booth.  So much for driving across town for Early Voting . . .

If my brain had kicked in earlier, I would have voted early just so I wouldn't have felt compelled to get up early to avoid potential lines. And the location to 'vote early' was a hell of a lot closer than my district location!!

If so, then you're in the minority. I've been hearing about waiting times of as much as 2 hours before 8 AM.

According to published reports, about 40% of the town's registered voters took the "Early Voting" option -- in quotes because it was actually an in-person absentee ballot.

Plus, that "walk in and vote" report was 10 AM plus/minus, probably about low ebb for any line. We'll see what reports say later.
