We have a flood watch and high wind warning through tonight.  To be followed by colder.

No flood warnings here (not so far, anyhow) but wind warnings for the higher elevations.

The hour when I wimp out and turn up the baseboard heating draws ever nearer.

I think the flood bit is mainly for tidal rivers and streams, with that south wind backing water up at high tide.

My friend in NY state says they may get 7" of snow overnight. I guess I can deal with the wind. Unless a tree falls on the house, of course.
