High wind warning through til noon, gusts 30-40 MPH.  Raining.  Drifts of fallen leaves mixing and matching and blocking the storm drains.

Our "foliage" is officially past prime.  You can still see decent color close to the coast, act the flatlander tourist and otherwise contribute to the local economy, but don't say I didn't warn you.  Take a lobster out to dinner!

Just outa curiosity, what does lobster sell for "off the boat" in your neck of the woods?

I'm not up on the day-to-day, but recent news reports have been $2 plus per pound.

Daaaaaamn. And the stores around here sell it for $20-plus per pound.... for that price differential, it's probably cost-effective to drive up with an ice chest.

According to this article, low end is $2 at the boat. Guy was selling them for $3.50 from his truck.
