Friday roadkill report
Oct. 3rd, 2008 02:44 pmOne measly flattened gray squirrel. Even Tuesday's raccoon had vanished.
Morning clouded up, and temperature hovered in the low 50s F, but we did clear off a bit after noon. I ignored (or cursed) the wind and biked anyway. Fall "foliage" about 40-50% now, a moving target as some trees lose their leaves before others turn. Also, the white pines have suddenly decided that it's time to dump the old needles, so we have yellow Gauguin shadows under them and across patches of road. Slippery.
Temperature 56 F now.
