I know the phone calls are running against this thing, but I wish these idjits (on both parties) would show some *leadership* once in a while instead of basing every goddamned vote they take on what will play well at home and maybe get them re-elected.
Note that I'm not saying this was the bill they should have passed. But they need to stop grandstanding and deal with this. It's not going away if they don't.
Yeah. As I posted on another blog, sometimes you have to choose which way to jump when the flames are licking at your ass. May not be a *good* choice, may not be the way you would have gotten out if you had bought that rope ladder three decades back, but jumping is better than staying put.
