Cleared the inch of "mixed precip" off our driveway and sidewalk, thereby helping make up for the exercise deficit caused by conditions that allow neither bicycle nor cross-country skis. Actually, the bicycle would have been possible for a couple of days -- dry roads and temperatures in the forties. I passed up the opportunity.

Got the year-end accounting done and bills sent out. Now to dive back into DRAGON'S TEETH. I mentioned that both that and GHOST POINT share a setting, but neglected to add that one is set in autumn and the other, winter. That's more important, and potentially more confusing, than the thirty-year difference between them. _Got_ to keep my stories straight. Don't know how some people can work on five projects at once. My comparison is that I can juggle three balls almost forever, can keep four balls going for a minute or so, but if I try five, they all end up on the floor.

2004 writing report: delivered DRAGON'S EYE to the publisher, sold DRAGON'S TEETH, saw THE WINTER OAK and mass-market THE SUMMER COUNTRY gracing bookstore shelves, did all of the above to the French edition of SUMMER COUNTRY, and started GHOST POINT. Listed out like that, I almost look like a real author.

Amazing how appearances can belie reality, ain't it.
