Published estimates of the relative performance by protagonists in last night's debate seem to reflect pre-existing conditions . . .

Didn't watch it. Can't stand watching STP-grade slickness on both sides, don't think either party is fielding a ticket I can support without deep reservations.

This was supposed to be McCain's strongest event. Anything less than a landslide win for McCain works to Obama's advantage. And I haven't heard anyone but right-wing diehards saying that McCain did any better than a draw.

Well, Making Light seemed to think McCain did a little better than Obama. Otherwise, commentary has been rather predictable.
