Tuesday roadkill report
Sep. 16th, 2008 11:37 amUp on the Kelly road, right on the double yellow line, yes, it's the famous Dead Skunk In The Middle Of the Road, renowned in fable and song. Not, in this case, stinking to high heaven. First skunk on that route this year, which I've been riding twice a week for about four months now. Also, on Fern Street, a squashed muskrat where no muskrat has legitimate business.
Coolish this morning, waited for the sun to warm the world up to the mid 50s F before heading out on the bike. Some more asters, some more leaves turning. Starlings flocking up for fall.

Date: 2008-09-16 05:18 pm (UTC)There's a dead skunk in the middle of my road.
It is flat and in the yellow,
And thank God it doesn't smell, oh
There's a dead skunk in the middle of my road.
Not quite as catchy, perhaps, as a bimbo on the cover of your book. OTOH, you're not trying to sell the road.
