News items this morning about NATO boss and various diplomats visiting Georgia (the Caucasus one, not the Peach State.)   That's the problem with alliances.  If Georgia had already joined NATO according to announced intent, as some other former Soviet states have, we could be in a third war by now . . .

Reminds one of the start of a couple of World Wars, it does. Ferdinand wasn't _that_ important in the cosmic scheme of things.
